Wow! I won a book! :D You have my address in your e-mail Amy!

Getting back in the groove this week. You've seen my report via e-mail. Need to find a better time/way to do the traineo thing.

Wow, Joel! I totally feel you on the living at work thing! We are a part of a startup and that just doesn't allow us much time for anything else. I'm so proud of how your family is handling Thanksgiving! It sounds like maybe you have become an inspiration to them. Give the cauliflower a try, I had it at a restaurant once and it was AMAZING! Glad to hear you are walking, drinking water and sleeping! Deep breath and make sure you take care of yourself! After awhile, I rallied everyone together and now they never order in pizza for us! We get grilled chicken sandwiches and salads instead. Sometimes, you just have to start a riot! :) Have a great week! ~amy

Thanks for the pep talk Amy. I am definitely hitting the Gym tomorrow barring any crazy work things. Work can survive an hour without me.

Stressful times like these make it darn easy to forget the hard things I have worked for. I'll make sure to have plenty of healthy snacks like some dried fruit, yogurt and I just might even take my popcorn popper since I will practically live at work during the software migration. The boss says he's buying food (pizza?? um...I guess I might have to pass??). Anyway...little thing on turkey day....

Our family this year decided to RIGHT SIZE the turkey feast....less desserts, more healthy sides (the Mashed Califlower trick.....I'll stay away and have sweet potatoes....mashed cauliflower sounds nasty to me). Last year we bought two of the ready made dinners and had WAY too much food. This year our family is only getting one and then supplementing the meal with healthy sides and of course including some pumpkin pie (I'll make it with splenda!). Then, I plan on leaving the leftovers, if any, for anyone else who wants them. I will splurge that day, but I intend to splurge RIGHt AS IN NOT TOO MUCH!

As far as the work events go, I am planning on keeping the caffeine at bay and only having some right after I get up and then switching to decaf pop and then drinking plenty water. Drinking water helps me in situations like this. I am also taking a air mattress, sleeping bag and my CPAP and forcing myself to get sleep while someone else watches the processes run.

Oh and I will try to fit some exercise time in too. Luckily, Columbus is turning out alot like Chicago lately making it fun to walk the city streets...just like Chicago.

I'm glad that you know how important moving is to making you feel good. Sounds like you won't have to worry about eating too many turkey leftovers because you are going to be so busy next week! Just remember to keep away from the junk food. Pack yourself some snacks and leftovers and don't give in to the crap! ~amy

Cool. Well, I think I did ok. I have been trying to stress less about the scale thanks to your one fitness attack talking about looking at things other than the weight. My waist hasn't increased any. My hard thing now is we have a major software migration happening on Thanksgiving weekend and it's really busy....almost TOO busy. First things first....tomorrow I am HITTING THE GYM!

I have been walking outside alot, but it's been hard to get to the gym...so I force myself to walk when I don't have to. It helps.

Joel - Let's see some results on that graph. There is still plenty to be done before you "maintain" through the holidays. Don't get into that rut now - keep moving further and faster. You can do this! ~amy
